Hi! My name is Bri! I am 22 and currently living in Orlando, FL. I am a Donor Communications Specialist at a global ministry and now a healthy living blogger here at More Honey Please! πŸ™‚ I have been a part of the healthy blogging community for over 4 years now but only as a reader! I am really excited to share my life amongst this amazing community. More Honey Please follows my passions, family, food, friends, and mostly healthy living.

EXCERCISE

My exercise routine looked the same for many years. Running was my only form of exercise and although I set goals like running my first half marathon and first full marathon I never thought about any other muscles. During my senior year of college I was on my schools cross country team and I learned the benefits of strength training. I felt overall more balanced and didn’t feel like my leg muscles were the only muscle group I had to rely on anymore. Now I am working on strengthening my entire body and not just my legs. I currently work out six days a week and have one rest day. My rest day is a break from a focused workout, however, I do still like to stay moving and usually try to do so by walking, bike riding, or let’s be real dancing….

FOOD

I have learned and become someone who uses food to nourish my body. I wasn’t always this way. Throughout high school and college I participated in Moe’s Monday, Taco Tuesday, Waffle Wednesday, Slurpee Saturday. If you name a junk food, I had a day for it! But now my body craves vegetables and my mind considers a balanced meal when I begin prepping. I love that healthy foods energize me and really feel that a life fueled by healthy foods allows me to live a more full life. With that said, I still have a raging sweet tooth and it cuts loose every once and awhile n’ I don’t hate it! πŸ˜‰

BLOG NAME: MORE HONEY PLEASE

So what does More Honey Please even mean? Besides the general polite request for my blog readers to send me a jar of honey, of course πŸ™‚

1. The name of my blog had to incorporate something that I ate on a regular basis. I incorporate honey into a ton of my recipes! Honey is a great sweetener that I use for baking, it’s great in coffee or tea, mixed into a dinner entre sauce, a sweet dip, or in my daily bowl of oatmeal. I wanted my blog title to be true to what my friends actually see me eating on a regular basis!

2. Honey resembles sweetness and pleasure. When I first became a follower of Jesus I was reading Exodus 3Β where God said, “So I have come down to rescue them from the hand of the Egyptians and to bring them up out of that land into a good and spacious land, a land flowing with milk and honey..” I thought WOW I want to go there! What an offer! The Lord was basically offering to take a whole people group out of suffering and bring them into a land of abundant pleasure! I thought, and continue to think that this is still what the Lord wants for his people! I don’t want to be afraid to ask God for more of His goodness and joy to be poured into my life, so I am taking His analogy and asking Him for MORE HONEY PLEASE πŸ™‚
